““Very quiet and friendly Atmosphere!”
Wow "The Sumner " was a lovely Boutique Hotel which is about 5 mins walk from Oxford Street and a pleasure to stay there !!! We were treated like royalty the moment you stepped through the door, the Manager Mr Rohit was very helpful all smiles could not do enough for you and made you feel very special and were also very intuitive to our needs from the first day of our stay. !!! The attention to detail was fantastic. We stayed one night and wish we had booked for longer I did not want to leave, I felt so relaxed the next day and felt like I had been away for longer than one night. The rooms were very comfortable with great beds and pillows and so tastefully decorated and had everthing you could have wished for, nothing was ever too much trouble, and the food was of great quality with so much choice !! I think this hotel would cover every type of visitor as you could stay even on your own here, the atmosphere was great. How refreshing to stay somewhere where everything was perfect the hotel has to be congratulated a real little gem - will be back !!!

“Nice Hotel in Great Location”
My daughter and I spent two nights at the Sumner Hotel during a recent visit to London. Located near the Marble Arch station, this hotel is ideally located for visiting the historic sights in this wonderful city. The hotel is clean and quiet and the staff exceptionally helpful and courteous. The more than ample breakfast was a nice start to a full day of sightseeing. We will definitely book the Sumner Hotel again on our next visit to London. Source: Trip Advisor

“Great Hotel, Excellent Location”
This was our first time in London and we picked this hotel from reviews in Trip Advisor. We throughly enjoyed this small hotel. Great breakfast. Very accommodating personnel. Very comfortable room. Sitting area off of the reception desk area was one of our enjoyments for relaxing. We give his hotel very high marks. Location was great to get to Paddington Station and on to Heathrow; buses (especially #74) to Harrod's, V&A museum. Hotel is a couple of blocks from Marble Arch for buses and the underground (cirlce line to London Tower). When we come back to London we will be staying here.

“The Sumner was a great find”
My girlfriend and I stayed in London for two week-end nights. It was a Rick Steves recommendation so we figured we couldn't go wrong. We were right. The location was perfect - walking distance to hop on a double decker tour bus and the underground. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room - much bigger than we had anticipated. It was clean with a nice bathroom. We'd stay again if ever in London.

“Fabulous Boutique Hotel”
The Sumner is a fabulous boutique hotel near Marble Arch, Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The room we had in 'the basement' was a pleasant surprise - very spacious and well appointed. The staff are accommodating and quite happily made us a fresh pot of coffee or tea each time we requested it either to our room or the lounge. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection of breakfast foods and good coffee available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sumner and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for an extremely well located accommodation close to excellent transport and tourist facilities/attractions. When returning to London we will be staying here.

“Great location and great accommodation”
After searching for hotels near Oxford Street and a tube station. I came accross The Sumner. We were happy with the rooms and our stay was comfortable. We were here on business and also had a problem with the sporadic Wi-Fi in the rooms, so checking emails was not always easy. Breakfast was sufficient and tasty , but agree with the review before about the temperature in this room. I found it hot and stuffy.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location and would stay here again.

“Location, comfort and service”
This is our 3d stay. The hotel is in a fabulous location, details to comfort are not missed and the staff is totally accommodating. Wi-fi was sketchy in the room but the comfortable sitting room was a very plessant place to work. The breakfast was well done and interesting. although the room was warm. Find out what a fine boutique hotel is by staying here.

“Warm, Friendly, Great Staff!”
|My Aunt and I are in England on discovery of the life of my grandmother and have planned a trip around all the places she wrote about in her memoirs. The Sumner Hotel is perfect as a "pied a terre" for our adventure and exploration of London. In the Marble Arch area, with many beautiful and diverse restaurants in the neighbourhood, the Tube is very nearby. We found that coming 'home' to this hotel every night to be very comfortable and welcoming. The room is fully equipped and has all the conveniences required. The mini bar is stocked with loads of goodies and not unreasonably priced. The staff have been cheerful but not breezy, professional, and very helpful with any bookings or arrangements for our day trips. The breakfast is excellent! Variety, taste, care and cleanliness being very important to us. Comfortable beds, a computer in the lounge room (by the way, stocked with cookies, tea, candies, chips, and loads of resource and travel books, and always with lovely fragrant flowers and great music in the background. We stayed for 3 nights and after we return from our trip to 4 small towns we are EAGER to return to the Sumner Hotel for another 3 nights before returning home to Canada! Reasonable rates, relatively speaking for London, and the staff are amazing, especially Rohit, who has been very kind and interested in us and our adventure! We would highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone who is interested in value and comfort in all respects. The only slightly negative would be the location of the breakfast area which has been very hot due to keeping the door closed so as to not bother the suites outside in the hallway. A FAN would do the trick to circulate the air - because the food is great!
